Brief

You will be a Contract Stress Engineer, carrying out concept work, sizing calculations, detail stressing and production of compliance documents.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Stress Engineer will include:

• We need people who already understand the industry, civil aircraft and how to stress aircraft structures.
• Because of this, we would expect you to have had at least 5 years' experience of stressing within the civil aircraft industry.

You must be familiar with the following approaches:

• Comparison with similar designs
• Comparison with test data
• Direct calculations using Mathcad, spreadsheets or hand calculations
• Automated calculations using spreadsheets or similar packages
• FE Analysis
• Use of standard aerospace references such as Roark, Tse, Niu, Bruhn, MMPDS, ESDU, etc.
• You must have the right to work in the UK without needing a Visa or sponsorship.
• We need you to have good spoken and written English.
• We will require you to attend on-site induction training.
