Supply Chain & Material Planner - On-site | Galway, Ireland | €45-55K

We're looking for a proactive and detail‑driven Supply Chain & Material Planner to manage procurement, materials planning, logistics, and inventory across a dynamic and fast‑moving environment. This role is central to optimising the end‑to‑end material flow - from supplier engagement to production planning - ensuring products and components arrive on time, in full, and within target inventory levels.

You'll collaborate with teams across finance, legal, engineering, operations, project management, and global supply chain to support efficient, reliable, and cost‑effective operations.

What You'll Do

Material Planning

🔹 Manage the full procurement cycle - supplier setup, part number creation, PO management, invoicing support
🔹 Work with Category Managers to coordinate supplier agreements and resolve constraints
🔹 Plan material deliveries with suppliers to meet sales and production requirements
🔹 Maintain raw materials and component inventory within agreed targets
🔹 Partner with suppliers to improve performance, quality, and on‑time delivery
🔹 Act as the key contact for finance to proactively resolve invoice queries

Supply Chain Operations

🔹 Act as the Supply Chain Lead for assigned projects
🔹 Build supply chain project plans, cost models, and cashflow analyses
🔹 Procure raw materials and plan production with manufacturers to secure on‑time, in‑full delivery
🔹 Challenge costs, lead times, and logistics efficiency
🔹 Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments with freight teams
🔹 Monitor production, supply and shipment progress vs plan
🔹 Ensure accurate ERP data updates

Inventory Management

🔹 Conduct monthly inventory checks and run ERP reports
🔹 Monitor slow‑moving and obsolete stock to stay within targets

Continuous Improvement

🔹 Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
🔹 Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance supply chain processes and tools

What You Bring

✔ Degree in Procurement, Business, Purchasing or related field
✔ 3-5 years' experience in Supply Chain, Material Planning, or similar roles
✔ Strong organisational and planning skills
✔ Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset
✔ Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities
✔ Excellent communication skills and team collaboration capability
✔ Strong command of English (spoken & written)
✔ Advanced MS Excel skills
✔ Experience working with ERP systems - ideally Dynamics 365

Why This Role?

You'll play a central role in ensuring material availability, supply chain efficiency, and operational success. If you enjoy owning processes, improving workflows, and working cross‑functionally, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact.

Services advertised by Gold Group are those of an Agency and/or an Employment Business.
