We are recruiting for a System Safety Engineer to work on a Permanent basis with a great SME in Bristol that are all about Systems and Safety Engineering.
The ideal System Safety Engineer for this role wil have proven experience in the Aerospace and Defence sectors and be comfortable in a customer-facing position.
As a System Safety Engineer, you will be carrying out a wide range of Safety Engineering activities across multiple Defence industry projects.
Skills Required:
- Hazard Identificationand Hazard Analysis.
- Fault Tree Analysis(e.g. Isograph Reliability Workbench).
- Hazard Logs
- ARP4754A, or DO178C/DO254 and ARP4761
- Experience in the production and maintenance of Safety Reports and Plans:
- g. Safety Case Reportsand Safety Management Plans.
- Good understanding of Systems Engineering principles.
- Ability to work across multiple projects.
Desirable (non-essential) skills:
- Requirements management.
- Experience with Failure Modes, Effects (and Criticality) Analysis.
- Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering.
- Experience working with IEC 61508.
- Understanding of safety assurance of software and/or complex hardware.
- Understanding / experience working with DEF STAN 07-85.
