What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Systems Design Engineer will include:

• Collaborate closely with integration and testing teams to capture comprehensive test requirements and create well-defined plans using tools like DOORS.
• Methodically translate system requirements into precise specifications for subsystems.
• Establish and manage a robust design justification record, establishing clear connections from overarching system requirements to specific subsystem demands.
• Formulate intricate algorithms within firmware and software environments (desirable).
• Construct comprehensive test sequences at the system level, ensuring a seamless and effective evaluation process.
• Engage with various subsystem teams to ensure proposed designs harmonize with existing constraints.
• Explore opportunities for Model Based System Engineering (MBSE), a growing practice within Clients System Engineering domain (desirable).
• Offer dedicated support in addressing safety, security, and reliability considerations within project parameters.
• Actively participate in customer working groups as needed.

What experience you need to be the successful Systems Design Engineer:

• DOORS or other SysML tools
• Aptitude for conducting thorough requirements analysis and adeptly navigating trade-off studies to effectively channel requirements to seeker sub-assemblies, firmware, and software.
• Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering, showcasing a solid track record of successful contributions to complex projects.
• Familiarity with system requirements, coupled with the ability to craft detailed system architecture models and adeptly manage configuration control.
• Capability to discuss design constraints within the domains of hardware, firmware, or software.
