Systems Engineer needed for a multinational defence-engineering organisation based in Hampshire who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Systems Engineer that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of systems engineering for complex systems and combat sub-systems.
What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Systems Engineer will include:
⦁ You will be responsible for the day-to-day identification and appropriate resolution of technical issues throughout the product lifecycle, helping to support the submarines that play a critical role in our nation's defence.
⦁ Support the definition and associated acceptance criteria of your project through design, build, integration, installation and commissioning activities.
⦁ Providing technical support to shipbuilder installation and/or integration activities (included in-service refitting authorities).
What experience you need to be the successful Systems Engineer:
⦁ Degree level qualification (or equivalent experience) in relevant STEM subject (Engineering/ Physics/ Maths/ Science)
⦁ You will have or develop an understanding of the customer Operational Defect (OPDEF) and maintenance processes to be able to provide specialist technical advice as required.
⦁ Understanding of the system engineering lifecycle and be able to apply good systems engineering practices to your work.
