Technical Administrator
Broxburn

Technical Administrator needed for a leading construction firm based in Broxburn who are looking to employ an experienced Technical Administrator to be reportable to the MU Operations Manager, responsible for all contracts in Scotland in which the post holder is responsible.

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Technical Administrator will include:
* Ensure the construction tracker are reported on accurately on a weekly basis to allow invoices and valuations to be reliably carried out
* Maintain van packs and issue any updates
* Maintain and oversee job cards, any issues and checking on returns
* Notifications to the incumbent utilities team on where the various teams have been at any time
* Planning of any requested work or services
* Maintain the programme to incorporate any changes or amendments to the plan
* Manage the Change Control while ensuring invoicing is completed in a timely manner
* Liaise with the finance team to ensure that works are only programmed once monies are settled from outstanding contracts
* Cover holidays for other business units and assist the teams as necessary and within reason
* Ensure holiday records are kept up to date
* Make certain all remote Scottish MU offices adhere to the client's systems and processes
* Be an excellent example to your colleagues
* Lead in the assistance of the business to perform well against the vision Six S, delivering against the individual elements "Skilled, Secure, Successful, Sustainable, Strong and Systems"
* Ensure that the client's compliancy requirements for controlled documents are met
* Develop new systems to conform to changing and evolving operational needs

What you need to be the successful Technical Administrator:
In order to be the successful Technical Administrator and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:
* A keen understanding of business and experience in the sector
* Innovative thinker, able to work on multiple tasks at any one time
* Ability to prioritise and work multiple workloads
* Be an able leader
* Able to build and maintain partnerships with other clients
* Able to work in an analytical workload
* Extensive knowledge of the construction industry
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* High degree of computer literacy
* Experience at working both independently and as part of a team
* At least 3 years' experience working in a relevant similar role
* Excellent negotiation skills
* Able to motivate the team
* Be well presented when meeting or discussing with clients
* Commit to the concept that acceptable profitable results are the key factor and essential to the overall success of the contracts
* Understand protocol with the business and be aware of problems which are encountered by the operations team
