We are looking for an experienced and driven Technical Innovations Engineer to join our Client's team in Derby. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and reporting on the reliability of plant assets, with a focus on improving availability, "up time," and productivity. This role includes introducing innovative solutions to enhance long-term operational efficiency and providing financial advice for budgeting and forecasting.

The Role:
So, what will you be doing as a Technical Innovations Engineer?
- Develop and manage the Operational Control Hub (OCH) and integrate data and dashboard reporting for internal and customer use.
- Ensure compliance with business policies and procedures.
- Develop and produce weekly/monthly reliability dashboards and statistics.
- Maintain equipment/machines to required quality standards and legislative requirements.
- Provide technical support to staff (fault finding, technical guidance).
- Analyse reliability data to identify trends and offer technical solutions.
- Develop and review reliability growth plans for equipment/machines.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent repeat failures/issues.
- Support Operations and Maintenance teams with suitable spares and service kits.
- Complete maintenance improvement documentation aligned with Engineering Change processes.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and distribute corrective actions and lessons learned.
- Produce and submit technical reports as needed.
- Perform various tasks as directed by the Business Unit (BU) Manager or Operations Lead.

- Strong management and leadership experience.
- Proficient in computer skills, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with familiarity in MS Project being advantageous.
- Strong presentation skills and experience in improvement programs.
- Excellent report writing and financial numeracy.
- Proven project management skills with a clear customer focus.
- Strong commercial and financial experience.
- Entrepreneurial flair and drive.
- Knowledge of the plant/asset hire industry.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Effective conflict management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data, draw conclusions, produce reports, and make recommendations.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety Management.
