Clearances: BPSS to start, SC clearance required during assignment
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Publications Specialist to support the maintenance and improvement of the CH47 Chinook Air System Document Set. You'll work within a specialist engineering support team, ensuring compliance with MAA regulatory standards and supporting additional platforms when required.
This role requires a mix of technical publication authoring, compliance checking, and collaboration with engineering and customer stakeholders. You will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of aircraft maintenance and component maintenance manuals.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Author, edit, and maintain technical publications (AMM, CMM, EMM, IPC).
- Review and update publications in response to discrepancy reports (MoD F765).
- Apply ASD S1000D and Simplified Technical English standards.
- Research source data to ensure technical accuracy of documentation.
- Ensure all updates meet First Time Quality standards and regulatory compliance.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Participate in internal and customer reviews.
- Support graphic and authoring requirements as needed.
✅ Required Skills & Experience
- Strong rotary wing technical publication authoring experience (CH-47 Chinook preferred).
- Proficiency in ASD S1000D and/or AVP70.
- Experience with Simplified Technical English.
- Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings.
- Experience with MoD Form 765 processes desirable.
- Previous aviation maintenance or support engineering knowledge.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver First Time Quality.
- Effective communicator, able to work with cross-functional and international teams.
- Graphic creation experience desirable but not essential.
