About Us:

The Technical Trainer at Gatwick will assess and address both customer and technical training requirements to create relevant training materials, objectives, and frameworks. This role involves managing the creation, implementation, and assessment of technical training programs. The trainer will set up methods for identifying training needs and measuring the effectiveness of these programs. Additionally, they will collect data to support comprehensive proposal development activities. The trainer will be tasked with executing the Gatwick training plans, ensuring consistency through observations, training sessions, and coaching.

The Role:

So, what will you be doing as a Technical Trainer?

The Technical Trainer will be responsible for delivering all technical training to Part 145 staff, ensuring that it meets the highest industry standards. This training will encompass:

  • All technical training related to business needs.
  • Continuation training, including Human Factors (HF), Fuel Tank Safety (FTS), and Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS), both theoretical and practical.
  • Prepare and continually enhance technical training courses.
  • Develop instructional materials such as: Course outlines, Lesson plans, Background material, Teaching resources, Training aids
  • Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in developing and delivering training across various formats, including Classroom-based, eLearning, Virtual platforms
  • Deliver practical technical training.
  • Possess strong organisational skills and the ability to design and deliver effective training programmes that meet both organisational and operational requirements.

What are we looking for in our next Technical Trainer?

  • Possess a UK/EASA Part 66 Licence, an Aerospace Engineering degree, or relevant experience in technical training for aircraft.
  • Familiarity with EASA regulations are required.
  • Experience in aircraft engineering or within a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) setting is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop others.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of escalating issues to senior management when necessary.
  • Skilled in planning and adhering to deadlines established by management.
  • Proficient in using Office 365.
  • Competent in evaluating and providing constructive feedback on non-compliance issues to the management team.
  • Able to perform effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Resourceful in identifying and resolving issues.
  • Holding a relevant and recognised professional training certification.
