The Role
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join and support our dynamic Commercial team. You will thrive in a supportive learning environment that fosters personal development and provides ample opportunities for career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, document, and handle financial and project-related transactions.
- Analyse project expenses and generate monthly cost reports, including commentary on any discrepancies.
- Conduct site visits for inspections.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders in the construction and professional team, including clients.
- Assess completed work and manage payment applications.
- Utilise systems and processes to effectively measure commercial performance.
- Assist in generating accurate, up-to-date monthly reports (Cost Value Reconciliations) and projections of final outcomes.
- Participate in meetings on-site or at other locations with Site Teams, Clients, Suppliers, and other relevant parties as needed.
- Provide administrative support to the Commercial and Sales teams, along with handling miscellaneous tasks.
Requirements
No experience is required; however, the candidates should have a basic understanding of the Quantity Surveyor role, possess strong excel skills, excellent communication skills and show a genuine interest in the construction industry. After joining, further training and development opportunities will be provided, including the possibility of pursuing a university degree with sponsorship.
