Web Developer - HTML, CSS, JavaScript / jQuery, .Net (Both C# and VB.NET, Visual Studio), ASP.NET
The Full Stack Web Developer (.NET) role is to maintain, develop and ensure the uptime of the company websites and content management systems: consumer, trade and practitioner, and develop new or campaign related sites.
Your role as Web Developer:
Consumer Ecommerce Site
Maintain and develop the group ecommerce site.
Maintain the Practitioner and Trade websites, creating bespoke features and functionality appropriate to these channels, as briefed by the brand team.
Work with internal team (Head of Marketing, eCommerce Manager and Graphic Designer) to agree flat designs for upgrades and new development, advising on best solutions and technical issues.
Where necessary provide wire-frames, prior to development, to ensure best customer experience.
Implement all changes and developments in line with brand guidelines.
Work with the eCommerce Manager and eCommerce Assistant Manager to implement technical marketing initiatives on the commercial site.
Content Management System
Maintain and develop the group websites content management system so that it is easy and intuitive to use. Work with eCommerce Manager to agree developments.
Website Hosting & Uptime
Work with the IT team to ensure that hosting and server services are appropriate to the needs of the group websites.
Receive and respond to technical fault or downtime alerts.
Essential Skills for the Web Developer role:
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript / jQuery
.Net (Both C# and VB.NET, Visual Studio), ASP.NET
Microsoft SQL Server
Working with bespoke API's and integration with payment processors such as SagePay, PayPal and Stripe
Source Control (GitHub, GitHub Actions)
Excellent documentation and communication skills
Desirable Skills
Some experience with Java and WinForms to support legacy system
Experience with Advantage Database Server
Windows Server management - IIS and SSL certificate management
Experience with Shopify (and preferably the Liquid engine)
