Area Manager
Home Based with National Travel (Southern region)
Area Manager needed to cover the southern counties surrounding the Gatwick area for one of the nations leading waste and resource management companies. The Area Manager will be someone with considerable previous involvement in business improvement and service enhancement initiatives, with a background in manufacturing/process industry, utility or customer service industry. This is a home working position with a requirement to visit the company's sites in the southern region of the UK on a monthly basis.
The successful Area Manager would ideally be degree educated with a proven track record in a senior management role, with at least five years' experience in an organisation with a professional and disciplined approach to business management, as evidenced by its business plans, performance expectations, service standards and people development.

Some of the main duties of the Area Manager will include:
- Oversee and monitor all operational working practices across region to ensure conformance with legislation and generally higher company standards of quality, safety and environmental policies.
- Provide leadership and direction to contract and site managers through mentoring and coaching.
- Establish close links with the communities in which the facilities operate in order to promote and enhance the image of the company.
- Develop and share best practices with the region and the wider business
