A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor where you'll be taking responsibility for the commercial management of a growing specialist business unit supplying major projects across the UK with specialist plant, site robotics, drones, scanning equipment and security solutions. With yearly revenues of c.£300m, this is a unique opportunity to join a highly regarded brand and secure a role that will help you quickly develop your commercial, negotiation and communication skills whilst working alongside a proactive, approachable and knowledgeable commercial management team.

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be supporting the management team with their plans to grow the business and your role will be to offer commercial advice and guidance to help them achieve the business plan. You'll be involved with all pre and post contractual negotiations and commercial activities with some of your key duties to include:

• Developing robust commercial processes and procedures
• Improve the businesses sustainable revenue streams, profit and cashflow
• Manage the commercial relationships with customers and suppliers at every stage of the process
• Manage any client changes and the impact this may have on revenue
• Compile and deliver the final accounts
• Provide regular revenues and cost optimisation's
• Identify and communicate client value to the rest of the team
• Provide commercial support and guidance to business leads

This is a unique role that will provide the successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor with exposure to a real variety of different projects including those within infrastructure, construction and specialist M&E work. You'll be providing you clients with robots to monitor site progress, hydrogen powered plant and machinery, large drones to undertake remote surveys and traditional site machinery including tower cranes, piling rigs, earthworks plant, concrete pumps and much more. You'll also have the opportunity to help grow the business with the backing of a well regarded, leading main contracting name. This is all supported with a package that includes:

• Starting salary of £35,000 to £45,000

Assistant Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have previous experience working in the UK with a natural commercial flair.
