Role: Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Location: East Grinstead
Offer: £40,000 + Package
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a housing developer in East Grinstead reporting to the Commercial Manager.
The primary purpose of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor is to support all commercial and financial aspects of assigned projects and contracts to ensure completion is on time, within budget and to legal and quality assurance requirements and regulations.
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, some of your key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Providing support on various site and assist with the estimation of materials, time and labour costs, to ensure costs can be established and controlled and projects complete on time and within budget.
- Working cohesively with the Commercial Manager to ensure achievement of targets.
- Supporting the production of accurate and timely valuation reports and management information to enable the Commercial management team to make informed business decisions.
- Complying with the Group Health, Safety and Environment Policy to ensure health and safety standards are met.
Assistant Quantity Surveyors considering applying will need the following experience:
- Experience within the house building industry is essential
- Fully conversant with Microsoft Package, including Excel and Word
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Relevant Apprenticeship/Undergraduate/Postgraduate or working towards equivalent qualifications
