Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Thames Ditton, Surrey
£35,000 - £45,000 + pension + performance bonus

Role Overview
The position offers exposure to all stages of cost management and project delivery within a structured, professional environment. Working alongside experienced surveyors, you will support cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and post-contract duties across a range of projects. The role provides direct mentorship and full APC support toward RICS chartership.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing cost estimates, feasibility studies, and elemental cost plans
- Support tender preparation, analysis, and reporting
- Contribute to contract administration, interim valuations, and final accounts
- Attend client and site meetings under supervision
- Maintain project documentation and assist with cost reporting
- Work proactively towards APC submission and RICS qualification
Essential Requirements
- BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- Experience working in a PQS environment
- Strong analytical and numerical ability
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Motivated, detail-focused, and committed to professional growth
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
Desirable Requirements
- Prior internship or work experience in a consultancy or construction setting
- Familiarity with CostX, Bluebeam, or MS Excel
- Awareness of procurement routes and current construction methodologies
- Clear ambition to achieve chartered status with RICS or CIOB
