Business Development Manager

Fully Remote Role

Brief

Business Development Manager role needed for a leading Utilities organisation. This would be a permanent, fully remote position. Looking for a Business Development Manager to join the growth of EV charger network and supporting the making of Zero carbon happen by delivering reliable and sustainable EV charging solutions.

The successful candidate would desirably have knowledge of the EV market and have strong sales and negotiation experience with an ability to resolve complex issues.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Business Development Manager will include:

  • Responsible for securing new EV partnerships with strategic private sector organisations that will include the supply, installation, operation, and maintenance of best-in-class EV charge point hardware.
  • Provide support and direction to a Junior Business Development Manager, with the potential to grow this team in future years and ensuring that they operate effectively and directly contribute to the growth of the EV business whilst always maintaining excellent levels of customer service.
  • The successful candidate will take a strategic approach to business development activity and will ensure excellent standards of customer service are always delivered.
  • Working with the sales team to develop mutually beneficial proposals, negotiate contract terms and communicate effectively with internal / external stakeholders.

What experience you need to be the successful Business Development Manager:

  • Sales and negotiation experience with an ability to resolve complex issues.
  • Developed experience of sales process
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and optimisation
  • Relationship Management
  • Knowledge of the EV market strongly is preferred.
  • People management experience
  • Presentation proposal and report writing skills.
  • Planning and development against objectives
