CAMO Quality Management Specialist

💼 Contract: 18 Months, Onsite (Mon-Fri)
💰 Rate: £30-£40 per hour (depending on experience)
🛡️ Security Clearance: SC clearance required (preferably active)
We are recruiting for a skilled quality specialist with experience in CAMO and military airworthiness regulations.The contract vacancy is for a CAMO Quality Management Specialist to support a high-profile defence aviation programme and will be based at Birmingham Airport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assure compliance of all CAMO activities under MAA regulatory requirements (MRP Part M).
- Conduct audits of CAMO processes, procedures, and personnel competence.
- Ensure Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME) compliance.
- Oversee assurance of subcontracted CAMO and maintenance tasks.
- Monitor maintenance organisation compliance and audit activities.
- Manage non-conformances, corrective actions, and facilitate regular review boards with key stakeholders.
- Validate Alternative Acceptable Means of Compliance, Waivers, and Exemptions (AWE).
- Produce audit reports and support documentation to ensure regulatory and internal standards are upheld.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven Part M CAMO experience within a military or defence environment.
- Lead auditor certification and hands-on audit execution.
- Strong knowledge of the UK MAA regulatory framework and military continuing airworthiness standards.
Desirable Experience:
- Aircraft Programmes Internal Auditor Training
- Human Factors knowledge
- AS9100D / AS9110C Auditor Training
- MRP Part 145 (MAOS) understanding
- Familiarity with DAOS surveillance audits
- Root Cause & Corrective Action facilitation
- Experience with BASE/SharePoint and Information Lifecycle Management

- Candidates without current SC may start with BPSS if SC is already in progress.
