I have a genuinely exciting opportunity for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join an established, busy and growing multi-disciplinary consultancy at their offices on the South Coast. The Chartered Building Surveyor will play a key role in the development of the businesses moving forward, helping grow their pipeline of work in London and eventually be given the chance to run a new office alongside the senior management team.

The Chartered Building Surveyors role will be to undertake commissions for a variety of different clients across both the private and public sector as well as growing the existing client base. Some of your key responsibilities and duties will include:

• Undertaking building surveys on healthcare buildings, offices, retail units, commercial buildings, schools, colleges & universities
• Building pathology including inspections and report writing
• Offering party wall advice
• Preparing drawings for planning & building regulations and detailing works for construction
• Preparing accurate, professional specifications
• Submitting tender reports
• Contract administration

Chartered Building Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have:

• At least 5 years experience as a Building Surveyor within a consultancy environment
• Chartered with the RICS
• Excellent communication skills
• Live within a commutable distance of Brighton
