The Opportunity
This is an opportunity for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join a friendly, busy building consultancy that prides itself on delivering a high quality product and securing work through repeat business. It's a position that promises to give you exposure to a variety of different instructions with an established client base that includes NHS Trusts, Universities, Colleges, Hotel chains, Developers, building managers and many more. The instructions are varied and will include a combination of traditional building surveying instructions & project management work. Some of the instructions will include:

  • Technical Due Diligence
  • Building Condition Surveys
  • Planned Maintenance Surveys
  • Defect diagnosis
  • Party Wall awards
  • Contract Administration
  • Feasibility Studies
  • Specification advice

Gaining exposure to this wide array of different instructions will help the successful Chartered Building Surveyor take their career forward quickly.

What experience will you need?
The Chartered Building Surveyor will need to have at least 2 years PQE, live local to Brighton and have a passion about buildings and their environment. You'll need to be committed to learning from others and keen to pass on your own knowledge and advice where applicable. You'll be part of a small team so strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.
