Cloud (Azure) Technical Lead - London

Your role as Cloud (Azure) Technical Lead

You'll be working on one of the banks most ambitious and critical technology projects: to migrate a large proportion of the Financing applications to public cloud infrastructure and managed services.

You'll collaborate with global Financing IT teams as well as central CTO teams to help them on their cloud migration journey, and engineer common, re-usable solutions that can be used to accelerate cloud adoption across the organisation. We're looking for someone who'll be able to:

• Work collaboratively across the organisation
• Act as technical consultant to the teams on their cloud journey
• Advise on technical services, how and where they should be deployed by the teams
• Solve challenging problems in an elegant but pragmatic way
• Define and document cloud specific processes the teams must follow
• Write professional, clear and comprehensive documentation
• Ensure best development and DevOps practices are applied and effectively utilize technologies

Your team

You'll be working in the Financing Architecture team focused on Cloud/Azure migration based in London as well as the CTO Cloud engineering team. Your role is to provide Financing Technology teams with oversight, support and solutions to implement a strategic architecture on public cloud services. You work with the IB Cloud Engineering to understand the architecture vision, help GM financing teams with their solution design and ensure code samples and documentation are developed for each of the services used in Financing to ensure that the developer experience of migrating to cloud within our organization is easy and enticing.

Must have

• Knowledge of the Investment Banking domain
• Significant experience operating as a Lead Architect/technical lead on Cloud engagements
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure
• Dev ops practices and value of automation
• Experience designing effective integration designs and solutions
• Solid understanding of batch analytics pipelines with technology like Azure DataFactory, Spark (Databricks/Azure Synapse) and reporting tools
