Contractors Responsible Engineer
Sussex
An exciting opportunity for a Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) has arisen with a leading main contractor on a major project in Sussex. Joining the site based team, you'll be working closely with engineers, technical colleagues and the client on the 4 year project. As the Contractors Responsible Engineer, you'll be responsible for underpinning the entire assurance process and supporting the project team to promote a "right first time" culture.
Some of the Contractors Responsible Engineers duties will include:
- Attending design reviews
- Attending technical interface sessions
- Review and sign off the employers consent
- Attend and oversee pre site tests
- Undertake on site audits of work
- Communicate between all elements of the technical team and the wider project team
- Checking fabrication details against the approved design
Contractor Responsible Engineers considering this position will need to have experience working in a similar role for a large main contractor. You'll need to be familiar with Network Rail processes and have excellent communication skills. You'll also need to live within a commutable distance of Brighton.
The successful Contractor Responsible Engineer will be offered:
