The Role:
So, what will you be doing as an Electronics Engineer?
- Carrying out specified design and development and repair work in own area of competence
- Drafting concise and accurate technical reports, requirements specifications and drawings as required meeting the specific needs of the deployed equipment
- Provide a technical lead in specified areas for the team and the company as a whole
- Establish customer solutions and support discussions of the proposed solution(s) with customer representatives to agree the optimum outcome in terms of cost, timescale and ease of implementation
- Peer review of technical reports, drawings and designs for safety, functionality and compliance with standards and statutory requirements
- Provide specific technical support to project managers and / or team leaders for projects
- Liaison with suppliers regarding supply and support of third-party equipment
- Occasionally supporting the installation and commissioning of equipment on the customer's site
What are we looking for in our next Electronics Engineer?
- Degree in electronic engineering or demonstrably equivalent through work experience
- Experience with electronic PCB design - Altium
- Experience of developing and maintaining nuclear, military, or naval products desirable
- Have knowledge of related engineering disciplines (e.g. mechanical engineering, production engineering and electrical/ electronic engineering) with ability to read and understand electronic schematics, wiring schedules and mechanical part / assembly drawings
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes and assembly techniques
- Experience reviewing product maintenance workflows and implementing cost effective improvements
- Experience working in a project environment working to quality, cost and schedule constraints.
