Embedded Software Engineer

Embedded Software Engineer required by a highly reputable defence organisation based in the Worcestershire area. As an Embedded Software Engineer you will be utilising your vast experience of C++ and other associated technologies on a number of projects developing software for cutting edge electronics systems. You will be working closely with fellow specialists across a variety of disciplines, throughout the engineering lifecycle, designing, analysing and testing to achieve the critical requirements set by the customer.

The successful Embedded Software Engineer will ideally have a background in formal software development environment, DEVOPS with a demonstratable experience in C++, RTOS Programming, UML and MATLAB as a bonus.

**This is a 6-month contract, inside of scope, and UK security clearance up to SC level is required for this role**

The typical responsibilities of the Embedded Software Engineer will include:

• software development and related software engineering activities adhering to the Project Design Authority
• Produce technical documentation in line with the project requirements
• Fast tracked learning of relevant current and new technologies
• Integration of application of digital hardware technologies to build novel and bespoke embedded systems

What experience you need to be the successful Embedded Software Engineer

• Fully proficient in C++
• Experience of developing for embedded or resource constrained targets
• Experience of working on navigation systems and particularly GNSS receivers is highly desirable
• Experience of working with tools including JIRA/Bitbucket/Confluence, Enterprise Architect, Starteam, MATLAB, DOORS
• Experienced in embedded RTOS programming
