Engineering Manager needed for a Bespoke Manufacturer based in Workington who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Engineering Manager that takes pride in their work undertaking tasks.
This vacancy for a Technical Engineering Manager is a design and engineering support role with responsibility for the following:
- Design Tasks
- Project Support Interaction
- Tendering support
- Quality Compliance
- Continual Improvement Carrying out specific design and manufacturing support tasks to meet the time, cost and quality requirements of design and manufacturing projects.
- Scheme design generation and Detail design review
- Stress calculations
- Directive compliance assessments
- Scheme design review including manufacturability reviews
- Detail design generation
- Detail stress calculations
- Detail functional calculations
- Detail design risk assessments
- Directive compliance assessments
- Oversee Production of manufacturing documentation consisting of; fabrication and assembly drawings, development and documenting factory acceptance tests, factory method statements, technical construction files
- Take part in; client meetings, testing activities, commissioning activities, post project review meetings
- Project management design only projects
Key Skills and Competencies required :
- Ability to participate in a variety of diverse projects or activities ranging in both size and complexity
- Appreciation of manufacturing, assembly and test techniques
- Ability to manage own workload and of the team to deliver tasks
- Ability to make prioritisation decisions and work as part of a team supervising and guide others in the delivery of tasks
- Have an awareness of relevant design tools, techniques and methods and awareness of legislation and regulations applicable to the role and the projects being working on.
