Financial Accountant needed for a leading global security and aerospace organisation based in Bedfordshire who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Financial Accountant
that takes pride in their work with at least 3 years' experience within general accountancy. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
This role requires security clearance due to the nature of the work.

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Financial Accountant will include:
- Preparation of annual statutory accounts.
- Leading on external statutory audit.
- Completion of month and quarter end reporting.
- Preparation of VAT Returns.
- Capital Expenditure and Fixed Asset accounting.
- Foreign currency transactions.
- Completion of internal audit procedures.
- Working closely with senior team members.
- Point of contact for company insurance policies.
- Assisting with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.
- Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner.
What desirable experience you need to be the successful :
- Qualified Accountant with post qualification experience. (ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent)
- 3 years post qualification experience.
- Strong IT skills particularly in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience of dealing with external auditors preferred.
- Understanding of VAT regulations.
- Keen eye for detail with an ability to work to strict deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner.
