Handy Person needed for a well know, large Facilities Management organisation based in Harwell who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Handy Person that takes pride in their work.
The successful candidate will carry out tasks such as - Hole filling and sanding, Basic carpentry, Basic plumbing, Painting and decorating, Sign hanging, Basic PPM tasks - Legionella flushing and temperature logging, Furniture moves, Waste segregation (Training given)

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Handy Person will include:
- Carrying out the following day to day tasks including - Hole filling and sanding, Basic carpentry, Basic plumbing, Painting and decorating, Sign hanging, Basic PPM tasks - Legionella flushing and temperature logging, Furniture moves, Waste segregation (Training given)
- Ensure all PPM is carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time using the TOUGHBOOK to log start/wait/stop completion and with appropriate comments /log notes to evidence completion of work.
- Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator.
- Complete supplementary documentation / E-Forms relating to the maintenance task as dictated by your line manager.
- Adhere to timescales for completion and initial attendance are made in alignment with
- Contract SLA requirements
What experience you need to be the successful Handy Person:
- A recognised industry qualification would be desirable but not essential
- Previous experience in undertaking a similar role.
- Must have a full clean drivers' licence.
- Computer literate
- Good communicator
- Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
- Able to work as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptable to change
- To always maintain a clean and smart appearance
- Fluent in English both written and oral.
