Head of Sales

North Yorkshire - Hybrid

Brief

Head of Sales needed for a well-known Broadband provider based in North Yorkshire who are looking to employ a number of experienced and well-rounded Head of Sales to join the organsiaon and help head up the sales department.

The successful candidate must come from a previous fibre (FTTH) background and have a keen interest in becoming Head of Sales. You must also have experience already managing a team and 10+ and be able to come in and hit the ground running.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Head of Sales will include:

  • To meet and exceed monthly sales targets through the generation of new business
  • To execute all required activities to generate new business opportunities (cold calling, networking, referrals, activations, community marketing, social media communications etc.)
  • Continuously maintain a sound knowledge of the company's products, commercials, policies and procedures, in order to identify and progress new business opportunities that meet the company's strategic and profitability goals
  • Qualify all new sales areas, prospects and progress sales activity to deliver forecasted orders/GP
  • Develop and effectively manage strong relationships at multiple levels within prospects
  • Constantly provide feedback to management as to market requirements and conditions relating to the company's offering and positioning
  • Provide regular sales reports as required by management for pipeline and forecast analysis

What experience you need to be the successful Head of Sales:

  • Sound understanding of telecommunications and FTTH
  • Experience in heading up a team
  • Persuasive and articulate communication skills (including written, verbal and presentation)
  • Prospecting skills and cold canvassing techniques (telephonic, personal networking etc)
  • A professional, positive, self-starter, self-motivated with a high level of tenacity
  • Efficient and effective learner
  • General assertiveness with good inter-personal skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Client liaison and customer service principles
  • Sound business acumen
