Infrastructure Engineer
New Malden or Portsmouth - Hybrid

Infrastructure Engineer needed for a leading engineering firm based in the New Malden and Portsmouth areas.
What the role of the Infrastructure Engineer entails:
Some of the main duties of the Infrastructure Engineer will include:
- Generation of design, test and installation documentation
- Design proving, including environmental and Electro Magnetic Compatibility aspects
- Investigation and resolution of design issues
- Design and build of the electrical and hardware system to achieve successful acceptance (FAT(E))
- Support to development systems
- Successful installation and setting to work of hardware on ship
- Understanding of Configuration Control and baselines
- Use of Visio for Hardware design
What experience you need to be the successful Infrastructure Engineer:
Essential:
- An Engineer with experience in a hardware domain
- Knowledge and experience in COTS hardware
- A can-do, enthusiastic attitude and enquiring mind, with a flexible approach and openness to involvement in all aspects of the team's work
Desirable:
- Experience with COTS cabinets, cabinet designs, wiring schedules, power distribution would be especially desirable
- Experience working with the Defence sector
In order to be eligible for this role you will need to undergo Security Clearance Background Checks that require you to be a UK resident and UK passport holder.
