The Role:
Our Strategy & Decarbonisation team spearheads our growth initiatives, broadening our existing networks, exploring new prospects, and assisting our clients in reducing carbon emissions.
The Junior Business Development Analyst is essential to this team, aiding in the prioritisation of opportunities, coordinating bid processes, and enhancing our insight into the competitive environment.
In this position, you will be involved in all stages of the business development cycle, from the inception of projects, through the bidding phase and contract negotiations, to the transition of projects to our operations team.
So, what will you be doing as a Junior Business Development Analyst?
Bid Coordination
- Organising diaries for bid-related activities
- Monitoring client portals and maintaining the clarification log
- Establishing and managing a bid library
- Proofreading and formatting bid submissions
- Attending supplier days
Business Development Analytics and Support
- Conducting competitor analysis
- Profiling clients and drafting account plans
- Mapping and analysing opportunities (e.g., qualifying market opportunities)
- Managing the opportunity pipeline
What are we looking for in our next Junior Business Development Analyst?
- Outstanding communication and organisational abilities
- Proficiency in collaborating effectively with individuals at all levels within the organisation
- Keen attention to detail
- Capability to perform well under pressure to meet essential deadlines
- Skill in employing a blend of assertive and diplomatic communication styles
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Degree or equivalent experience
- Over two years of experience in a professional setting, such as a consultancy or a complex corporate environment
- Background in bidding, business development, or administration is advantageous
- Experience in district heating, major infrastructure, or engineering is preferred
