£55,000 to £75,000 + travel & package
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an MEP Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a growing number of major projects across Central London. The MEP Quantity Surveyor will be supporting their construction team with the installation of both mechanical and electrical services on large, complex new build projects with contract values of between £100m and £400m. This would be a great step forward for an MEP Quantity Surveyor keen to progress and develop their career with an industry leading brand whilst gaining exposure to exciting projects.
The MEP Quantity Surveyor will be working closely with the MEP Commercial Manager and taking responsibility for the commercial and financial management of mechanical and electrical packages from procurement through to final accounts. Some of your key duties will include:
- Applying & understanding the companies commercial and financial procedures and reporting systems
- Maintaining accurate and detailed prelim forecasts and actual costs
- Report accurate figures for the monthly forecast final account
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the difference between, and importance of, cost, value and profit
- Manage the project cash flow
- Manage the change process in accordance with the agreed contract
- Manage the commercial and financial risks across your packages and the wider project
- Support the CM with the development of the team
MEP Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have previous experience working on either mechanical or electrical packages for a large main contractor or specialist subcontractor. You'll need to have a strong understanding of different contract types and be commercially astute with excellent communication skills.
The successful MEP Quantity Surveyor can expect:
