A Planning Engineer is currently required for a great opportunity with an award winning main contractor based in Hertfordshire. The Planning Engineer will join a leading name in the UK construction market, a company with a reputation for their expertise in delivering a wide range of build projects for their private and public sector clients.
The Planning Engineer will have a varied workload, they will be involved on projects throughout their whole life-cycle, from tender stage through to completion. The regional construction business covers the Northern Home Counties, projects vary in size between £10-60m which includes education, student accommodation, offices & commercial, mixed use development, hotels and healthcare.
The Planning Engineer will join an established team, they will report directly into the Planning Manager and split their working week between homeworking, the regional office in Hertfordshire and various live sites in the region.
This opportunity will suit either an experienced Assistant Planner who is looking to take a step up in responsibilities or a Planning Engineer who is keen to develop into a Senior Planner. A twelve month development plan will be offered to the successful candidate with support from the senior management team.
Candidate
- Minimum of 3 years construction planning experience.
- Experience at both the tender and contract stages of projects.
- Proficient in the use of Asta Powerproject.
- Sound knowledge of construction techniques.
- Good working knowledge of different forms of contract including NEC, JCT.
- Team player
On offer is an attractive salary of between £50-65,000 per annum plus an attractive benefits package which includes an annual car allowance of £6,500 or the choice of a company car, pension, healthcare, life assurance, private medical, 33 days annual leave and other great benefits.
