Brief
Principal Virtualisation Engineer needed for an industry leading defence and maritime organisation based in South West London who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Principal Virtualisation Engineer that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of development using VMWare, Horizon Views, vGPU and PCoIP to develop Naval systems. If you have experience working within a system development environment, we would love to hear from you.
The successful candidate would desirably have relevant experience using technologies such as; VNC, RDP and Powershell. Also, they must and have a keen interest in Virtualisation. If you have experience mentoring that would be a plus!

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Principal Virtualisation Engineer will include:
- Carrying out complex technical analyses and investigations, including evaluation and selection of technical options, and prepare reports with suggested recommendations to support the resolution of problems and the improvement of engineering capability
- Carrying out investigations and taking ownership of operational problems or development and developing and preparing solutions, individually or as a member of the project team
- Preparing specifications, developing designs in line with specifications and all quality and technical standards, and carrying out design appraisals in assigned areas to ensure all standards are maintained
What experience you need to be the successful Principal Virtualisation Engineer:
- VMware, VMWare Horizon Views, vGPU & PCoIP
- Experience of working within a system development environment (Project work)
- Experience working within a multi-project environment with ability to interface with multiple teams and to organise your work with multiple project demands
- Experience of capturing system design in a formal documentation set
