We are currently seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Procurement Manager for our client, a tier 1 main contractor based on site in Berkshire. Our client is looking for an individual who will be responsible for leading and managing the procurement function on a key project.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure that the company is able to source goods and services at the most competitive prices while maintaining high quality standards.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors.
• Manage and oversee the purchasing process, from the initial request for proposal to the final delivery of goods or services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
• Monitor supplier performance and take appropriate action when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
• Manage the procurement budget and ensure that it is being used effectively.
• Provide guidance and support to other departments within the company on procurement matters.
• Stay up-to-date with market trends and developments in procurement.
• Ensure internal spend compliance
• Source and obtain quotations
• Conduct tender processes
• Commodity research and spend analysis
• Management of Procurement Schedule
• Supplier and subcontractor performance management

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience
• Experience in working with MEP supply chain
• Pragmatic yet disciplined approach to process compliance
• Knowledge of MEP products
• Knowledge of procurement ERP and e-tendering systems (e.g. Oracle, Jaggaer or similar)
• Knowledge of Subcontract Procurement Process
• Supply Chain Management Experience
