My client is a global, industry leading company which focuses on the development of Temperature Sensors, Samplers, and Continuous Probes, providing solutions to the UK Steel Industry. We are seeking a forward-thinking Production Engineer, to work within a dynamic engineering team, driving the development of all production processes, including automation and digital solutions.
You will work closely with suppliers, customers, research institutes, universities, and othergroup organisations to ensure that the company remains at the forefront of manufacturing excellence within the industry.
Benefits:
- Annual bonus - 1-month additional pay can be achieved if 60% personal and 40% company objectives are met.

- Up to 10 additional days can be purchased.
- 13 shut down days including Bank Holidays and Christmas shutdown. Extra 2.5 days after 5 years and another 2.5 days after 10 years of service.

About you:
- Degree level Education in a sound engineering background (Materials Electrical, Mechanical,).
- Experience with CAD software.
- PLC programming experience (Python/Codesys, Siemens S7, Allen Bradley).
- Would be an advantage to have experience of automation/robotics and the implementation of digital solutions to improve the collection, analysis, and use of manufacturing data, in line with Industry 4.0 concepts.
- Ability to understand problems, identify solutions and implement them effectively within a manufacturing environment.
- Project management skills, a strong attention to details and the ability to communicate effectively is a key requirement for this position.
