Project Assistant


Project Assistant needed for a multinational defence organisation based in Buckinghamshire who are looking to employ an experienced Project Assistant with a background in project support, maintaining databases and monitoring schedules.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Project Assistant will include:

  • Assist the Support Manager across all project related tasks
  • Maintain the customer information databases in real time for all faults, training and technical queries
  • Ensure that customers are kept up to date with the latest information and status of contractual deliverables
  • Manage the check-in and control of documentation, including field survey reports, customer fault reports, technical documentation, maintenance guidance and technical queries
  • Monitor the schedule for planned maintenance and training requirements and report when maintenance and training activities are due
  • Assist with the preparation of meeting agendas, presentation materials and logistics
  • Prepare the documentation and logistical arrangements for the field support team
  • Manage and maintain the project team inbox
  • Ensure that actions are passed to the appropriate personnel for action and monitor the status of actions
  • Act as the customer point of contact when the Support Manager is unavailable

What you need to be the successful Project Assistant:

In order to be the successful Project Assistant and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:

  • Experience of working in a project office environment
  • Experience of working in a customer-facing role
  • Highly proficient in the use of office IT systems, particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal tactfully and sensitively with customers
  • Superb communication skills in-person, over the phone and via email and messenger
  • Experience of the Royal Navy is desirable but not essential

Must be eligible for Security Clearance
