Job Title: Quality Assurance Associate

The Role:
So, what will you be doing as a Quality Assurance Associate?
This role acts as a Quality Assurance (QA) Associate. Based potentially at Hampshire, the individual assists with the support to aspects of regulatory and 3rd party certifications associated with the clients presence on various sites. Activities include but not limited to:
- Quality Assurance of the various programmes.
- Assist with Inspection and acceptance of modification/up-grades carried out on equipment.
- Quality Assurance across the CADMID/T cycle where required.
- Assist with arranging, planning and supporting audits both internal and external (customer, regulatory and certification assessment) bodies.
- Assist with auditing and approval of suppliers.
The QA representative will be at the early stages of their Quality career and learn the ways of the client and the customers it supports. They currently supports UK MoD programmes across LAND, SEA (including sub-surface) and AIR, with the added aspect now including Space.
The post holder is also learn to assist with providing QA oversight to those delegated as the signatory for equipment release should it be requested and would assist with Root Cause investigation and process improvement activities, to drive improved performance. Supply chain monitoring and assessment, including subcontractor site audits, inspections, etc. in collaboration with other functions, will also be required.
What are we looking for in our next Quality Assurance Associate?
- Experience of AS9100 (preferred) with qualification as Internal Auditor beneficial or Internal Auditor in one of the following ISO9001, 2000, 27001 or TickITplus.
- Qualified to degree level or equivalent or have a recognised engineering qualification (e.g. apprenticeship, or time-served in armed forces engineering / technical discipline).
- Aware of Root Cause Analysis.
- Ability to work within a small team
- Ability to achieve security clearance (SC) to Secret is essential.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work with and influence across multiple functions and levels within a small team.
- Desired skills, qualifications and experience:
- Good communication skills.
- Good coordination skills, with ability to work on own initiative.
- Awareness of administrative support to management meetings.
- Committed team player.
- Able to work in a flexible, and occasionally highly demanding work environment.
- Awareness of a Quality Management System (QMS)
- Previous Military experience of benefit.
