What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Quality Assurance Manager will include:

  • Develop and maintain the Quality function, overseeing the QMS to support excellent service delivery in a dynamic business environment.
  • Lead the delivery of agreed improvements to business processes, tools, and operations to meet evolving business needs.
  • Implement the QMS, manage documentation, and coordinate communication while utilizing necessary tools.
  • Promote integration opportunities with other management system controls where applicable.
  • Establish effective internal audit practices, manage non-compliance and action items, and conduct a dynamic audit program.
  • Analyse audit results, incidents, and feedback, reporting and communicating outcomes as required.
  • Provide support for Quality or integrated Management System audits, inspections, or investigations.
  • Assist the Business Assurance domain experts as needed.
  • Offer advice and guidance on various issues, including pre-qualification, bidding, risk management, and customer quality concerns.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Business Assurance on strategic planning, goal setting, and performance reporting.

What experience you need to be the successful Quality Assurance Manager:

  • Education: Degree level (Engineering or management-related preferred).
  • Detailed knowledge of quality and risk management practices, supported by appropriate qualifications (e.g., Diploma in Quality Management).
  • Chartered status with the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in business management systems, risk management, and assurance, with a focus on process improvement and change management.
  • Experience as a Quality Management Systems Lead Auditor; similar experience in other disciplines is advantageous.
  • Strong awareness of other management system standards, frameworks, and models.
  • Proficient analytical skills.
  • Effective communicator, facilitator, coach, and consultant across all organizational levels.
  • Proven team and senior management experience.
  • Preferred experience in technical/engineering consultancy or professional services.
