An opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor has arisen with a leading main contractor, heavily involved in major civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the UK. The successful Quantity Surveyor will be joining a large joint venture on HS2 in Central London and tasked with delivering a number of water projects over the 5 year programme.

The Quantity Surveyor will need to be hands on with the project, working closely with the JV partners on each part of the project from start to finish. Some of your main duties will include:

• Preparing internal commercial reporting
• Preparation of valuations and applications for payment
• Preparing cost reports for the client
• Cost control
• Maintaining accurate site records
• Administration of subcontractor and supplier accounts
• Assisting with the development of other Quantity Surveyors, Assistants and Graduates

In return, the Quantity Surveyor can expect the security of a long term, secured project, the support of an experienced commercial management team and a competitive salary and package that includes:

• Starting salary of £45,000 to £55,000
• £6,000 car allowance or company car

Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have:

• Excellent communication skills
• Experience of working for a main contractor on civil engineering and/or infrastructure projects
• Good NEC knowledge
• A driven approach and positive attitude
