£35,000 to £50,000 + car & package
I have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a large main contractor at their regional offices in Southampton. The Quantity Surveyor will be joining a professional, busy team of surveyors working on new build & refurbishment projects across the healthcare, education, industrial and commercial sectors with values ranging from £5m to £50m. This is a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor living within a commutable distance of Southampton to join a well regarded main contractor that can help you quickly progress your career with exposure to a number of great projects.
Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working on a variety of duties including:
- Providing commercial advice and guidance to all involved parties
- Contract negotiation
- Submission of valuations, claims, budget monitoring and cost reporting
- Asses and review commercial and contractual risks
- Maximising cash flow
- Value work undertaken by sub-contractors
Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have a degree, HNC or similar in a construction related field, experience of working in a similar role for a main contractor and excellent communication skills.
