A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor at their offices in Leeds. The Quantity Surveyor will be working on a 4 year Cabling Installation Framework valued at nearly £25m with each scheme varying in value from £250k to £5m. The projects will include reinforcing networks, cable installs and overhead line upgrades.

The Quantity Surveyor will be working closely with a Senior QS, managing their own civils packages of work and taking them from procurement through to final account settlement. Some of your key duties will include:

• Subcontract management
• Procurement
• Cost reporting
• Preparation and administration of contracts
• Monitor payments from the clients and authorise to suppliers/sub-contractors
• Support the SQS & CM on other commercial duties across the project
• Provide commercial support to junior surveyors and the project team

Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will ideally have experience of working within the power sector or, as a minimum, have good contract awareness and cost control skills.
