A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join the specialist division of a leading main contractor at their offices in Leeds. This specialist part of the business manages a wide portfolio of different projects from small scale district heating through to the refurbishment of overground power & water assets, with project values varying from £1m to £30m.
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for ensuring the sound delivery of each project, managing the commercial and financial delivery from procurement through to final account negotiation. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Taking overall responsibility for all commercial elements on each project
- Lead and develop a small commercial team to achieve all commercial objectives whilst maintaining the clients specifications and within budget
- Offer commercial support and guidance to the wider project team
- Offer advice and guidance to junior members of the team
Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity must have at least 3 years experience within either utilities, urban energy, civil engineering or infrastructure projects. You'll also need excellent communication skills, be driven and keen to develop your career. You'll also need to hold a British driving licence and be willing to travel to sites in Newcastle and Birmingham as required.
