£55,000 to £65,000 + package
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor on a £250m+ new build construction project in SE London. The Quantity Surveyor will be joining a site based, busy team of surveyors and managing a number of sub contract packages across the project. The Quantity Surveyor will be working for a well regarded name within the construction industry and supported by an experienced team of Surveyors and Project Managers. You'll also be given the opportunity to gain experience on a high profile, high value and technically challenging project.
Some of the Quantity Surveyors main duties will include:
- Management of subcontract packages from procurement through to final account negotation
- Monthly valuations
- Day to day management of variations
- Provide detailed trade forecasts for each month
- Support the commercial leadership team with managing commercial risks & opportunities
- Offer advice and guidance to the wider project team and support junior surveyors where possible
Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have a degree in Quantity Surveying or other relevant subject alongside at least 5 years experience working for a main contractor. Your main contracting experience will need to be within the UK's building sector, ideally on large new build construction projects.
