Quantity Surveyor (Expert Witness & Dispute Management)

£40,000 to £70,000 + package
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor with a keen interest in pursuing a career in Expert Witness & Dispute Resolution work in Central London. The Quantity Surveyor will be joining a friendly and experienced team who are well regarded for providing a variety of Quantity Surveying and Forensic Expert Witness services to a wide range of clients including investors, developers, law firms, landlords, main contractors, sub contractors and suppliers.
The Quantity Surveyor will be working from their Central London offices and given the opportunity to develop their skills within traditional Quantity Surveying, Expert Witness and Dispute Management. Some of your key duties could include:
- Claims for loss & expense and extensions of time
- Provide assistance in determining the final account with the client and subcontractors
- Settling disputes between parties
- Assessment of compensation events
- Providing pre-contract support including procurement, value engineering and contract negotiation
- Providing services through the construction phase including monitoring project cash flow, producing monthly cost reports, contract administration, assessing variations, claims and dispute management
The successful Quantity Surveyor will be given an opportunity that includes exposure to a wide variety of different clients across both the building and infrastructure sectors. Quantity Surveyors considering this role must have a keen interest in specialising in Expert Witness and Dispute Resolution work alongside first class communication skills, good contract knowledge and a drive to continue to develop their career.
