£45,000 to £55,000 + car & package
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor on a £100m+ water project in Oswestry, Shropshire. The Quantity Surveyor will be joining their site based team and working as part of a joint venture that includes two of the UK's leading names within the infrastructure sectors. The successful Quantity Surveyor will be joining the team at the design & procurement phase of the programme and given the opportunity to put their own mark on the project from day 1.
The Quantity Surveyor will be site based and working closely with an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. Some of your key duties will include:
- Providing assistance and support to the wider commercial team and project team with any commercial issues
- Prepare the internal commercial reporting and other reports
- Prepare valuations and applications for payment as well as cost reports to the client and any supporting documentations
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities and provide value engineering solutions
- Maintain accurate site records
- Support the team with the project final accounts
- Work closely with the projects stakeholders, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to be willing to work on site 4 days a week (45hrs) and capable of demonstrating a solid understanding of utilities, civil engineering or infrastructure projects. You'll need previous NEC knowledge, excellent communication skills and a continued drive to develop and further your career.
