I have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join an award winning, privately owned infrastructure contractor with a growing pipeline of work across Bristol & the South West. The Quantity Surveyor will be joining a busy, professional team and supporting the Managing QS throughout the full life cycle of a number of projects valued between £10m and £40m. This is a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with civil engineering experience, living local to the South West to gain exposure to large projects whilst being rewarded with a competitive salary & package and no limits on where you can take your career.

The successful Quantity Surveyor will have the opportunity to start their APC or pursue chartership with the ICES, access to inhouse and external training programmes, the support of an approachable senior management team and a very competitive salary & package that includes:

• Starting salary of up to £55,000
• £6,000 car allowance

As the Quantity Surveyor, some of your main duties will include:

• Subcontract management
• Supporting the MQS
• Maximise the profitability of the contract
• Working closely with the client
• Assist with the development of junior surveyors on the project
• Cost reporting

The successful Quantity Surveyor will need to have:

• A RICS accredited degree, ideally in Quantity Surveying
• Experience of working for a main contractor on civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure projects
• Sound understanding of the NEC contract
• Excellent communication skills
