Quantity Surveyor - 6 Month Contract (INSIDE IR35)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor on a 6 month contract basis in Maple Cross. The Quantity Surveyor will be providing support to the existing commercial team, assisting with a planned ramp up in work on a major infrastructure project. Some of the packages you'll be supporting them with include earthworks and small structures.
Working closely with the Commercial Manager, some of the Quantity Surveyors duties will include:
- Subcontractor management
- Contract administration
- Oversee and manage the procurement process
- Value engineering
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities
- Evaluate and negotiate variations to contracts
- Settlement of final accounts
Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have previously worked on a large civil engineering project and have a solid understanding of the NEC suite of contracts. You must also be willing to be on site in Maple Cross, 5 days a week. This is a contract opportunity with a day rate of £350 and £420 per day, based on experience.
