We are looking for a motivated and commercially aware Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor on a high profile infrastructure project in Coventry. The successful Quantity Surveyor will be joining an experienced and driven site based team and given the opportunity to quickly develop their career whilst working on a complex and exciting project.

The Quantity Surveyor will play a pivotal role in the projects success. Your expertise in cost management, procurement and contractual matters will be key in driving project efficiency and profitability. You'll be responsible for accurate budgeting, cost forecasting and managing financial risks whilst working closely with the wider project team, subcontractors and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

  • Conducting cost estimates and preparing budget forecasts
  • Administering contracts and managing contractual agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Monitoring project costs and ensuring adherence to budgets and financial targets.
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities and recommending value engineering solutions.
  • Collaborating with project teams, including engineers and architects, to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
  • Assessing variations and providing timely cost advice to stakeholders.
  • Preparing and submitting accurate reports on project financial performance.


Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field
  • Previous experience working on a UK based civil engineering or infrastructure project
  • Strong knowledge of the NEC form of contract
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A driven and motivated attitude
