A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a large civil engineering project in Oxford. The Quantity Surveyor will quickly become an integral member of the site based team and presented with an opportunity that includes fantastic career progression, excellent work life balance, hybrid working and a competitive salary & package.
The Quantity Surveyor will be joining the project at the preconstruction phase and taking responsibility for their own portfolio of subcontract packages, taking each one from procurement through to final accounts. Some of your key duties will include:
- Contract negotiation and administration
- Preparing tender documents and reviewing subcontractor and supplier information
- Processing applications for payment
- Valuing the work completed on site and preparing interim and final payment applications
- Prepare financial reports
- Identify and manage risks across the project
- Support the Senior QS where possible with all other commercial duties

Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to live within a reasonable commute of Oxford and have previously worked in main contracting on civil engineering or infrastructure projects. You'll also need previous experience of the NEC contract.
