An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a top tier main contractor delivering a framework for a water provider near to Manchester. The Quantity Surveyor will be joining a busy and growing commercial team, working closely with the client, stakeholders, suppliers and subcontractors and taking responsibility for the commercial management of projects across my clients network. This includes work to over 95 water treatment sites and nearly 600 waste water treatment facilities.
The Quantity Surveyor will be given the opportunity to put their own mark on each project, given a structured career path with clear set goals and targets to take their career forward, the option of hybrid working and a generous salary & package that includes:
- Starting salary of £40,000 to £52,000

Some of the Quantity Surveyors main responsibilities will include:
- Timely preparation of monthly progress valuations and claims for completed work.
- Creation of monthly cost reports, forecasts, and Contract Budget reports.
- Managing and negotiating Compensation Events and project changes.
- Supporting the Commercial Manager and coordinating with the Customer's Commercial Team.
- Advocating for Sustainability, Safety, Health, and Environment by prioritising personal safety and well being, and contributing to the prosperity of the environment and communities.
- Upholding integrity by consistently doing the right thing in the right manner
Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity must have experience working within the UK's utilities sector and have previously used the NEC suite of contracts. You'll need excellent communication skills, be driven to develop your career and those around you and confident when working with project teams, stakeholders and the client.
