An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor on a large healthcare project in the Centre of Birmingham. The Quantity Surveyor will be joining a site based team delivering a variety of new build and fit out works to this major project.
As the site based Quantity Surveyor you will be working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor, taking packages of work through the full life cycle from procurement to final account agreement. Some of your key duties will include:
- Measuring and valuing work undertaking by suppliers and subcontractors
- Review all weekly and monthly programmes of work
- Plan for the relevant commercial activities to be undertaken as per the programme of work
- Prepare cost reconciliation statements
- Support with the development of others within the commercial team
